Mediation
We support parents, children, young people, and wider family members through times of change and disruption—particularly following separation, divorce, civil partnership dissolution, or family restructuring. Our mediation services are available across England and Wales.
Mediation helps improve communication, reduce conflict, and reach practical, workable agreements for the future. Where appropriate, children’s views, needs, and feelings are taken into account. We support parents to prioritise their children’s wellbeing and reduce stress for everyone involved.
Children may find it hard to express how they feel. Meeting with a mediator can help them explore their thoughts in a safe space. With their consent, their views can be shared with parents to support decision-making.
Mediation isn’t just for separating couples. It’s available to all kinds of families—married or unmarried, living together or apart, younger, or older. Parents, grandparents, step-parents, other significant adults, children and young people can all be involved.
Conflict is a normal part of family life. When it becomes difficult to manage, our trained mediators and members offer a range of services to help—including seminars, workshops, counselling for children and young people, and both family and child-inclusive mediation.
